L’abbaye de la Paix Dieu is an old Cistercian abbey of nuns founded in Amay in Belgium in the 13^th Century. The lunar calendar played an important role in monastic life at the time.

Some remarkable restoration works got underway in 1997, breathing new life into the ancient abbey brewery. Nowadays, apprenticeships are organised here to raise awareness of and perfect skills in the cultural heritage professions. That’s why the dodecahedron, the symbol of the Golden Ratio, has become its emblem.

As the abbey wished to preserve its brewing traditions, it entrusted Brasserie Caulier with the brewing of Paix Dieu.
